Reduced Chemicals
Large facilities such as health clubs typically use an endless supply of harsh chemicals for cleaning. GreenFit has avoided this problem by using only organic cleaners, and special microfiber cleaning towels (that require no cleaning agents at all!) This measure prevents harmful chemicals from being added to our earth and water supply.
Energy Efficiency
Inefficient air conditioning, laundry facilities, and light bulbs all add up to a huge energy drain created by a typical training studio. GreenFit is doing its part to reduce energy consumption by using high-efficiency lighting and ultra energy-saving laundry equipment. Additionally, our heating and cooling systems are the most energy efficient systems available!
Eliminating Waste
Did you know that 77% of all plastic water bottles actually end up in the garbage? And even those that are recycled still command a huge amount of energy during the recycling process. That is why Dave Smith`s clients at GreenFit receive a FREE stainless steel water bottle so they can help reduce needless waste while they work towards their fitness goals.
Recycled Materials
What to do with old car tires? Why not turn them into new gym mats! GreenFit uses gym mats and other rubber gym products that are made 100% from recycled tires. We also use only recycled paper products in our facility and office. Even components of the studio itself, like parts of the flooring and ceiling, are made from recycled materials.
Environmental Construction
Our new facility was built with the environment in mind. Many components are made from recycled materials, our paints are all VOC free, and many aspects of the facility (such as the climate control system, water heating equipment and even our flat screen TV!) were selected because of their highest energy star ratings.
Fitness Experts Ready to Help
Since graduating from Wilfrid Laurier University in 1999 with a degree in Kinesiology and Physical Education, Josh has been applying his knowledge in the health and fitness field as a personal trainer. Josh finds it extremely rewarding to help others achieve a healthier, more balanced lifestyle and improved state of wellness.
Josh's philosophy is that "you are only as strong as your weakest link". Josh utilizes his precise observational skills to help individuals identify what the "weak links" in their body may be. This is done by assessing a variety of factors including muscle balance and flexibility, postural alignment, core strength and stability, dietary habits, sleep cycles, stress levels and movement function. By maintaining someone's strengths and improving upon their weaknesses, a more optimally functioning pain-free body full of energy and vitality will result. Upon complete assessment of a client and their unique goals, Josh can determine which specific tools someone will need on the road to success. Each individual Josh works with will receive a tailor made health and wellness program made specifically for them.
Josh has a passion for teaching and helping each client learn the movement skills necessary to perform exercises with perfect technique. The success to an exercise program is in the details, and ensuring that all the movements are done absolutely correct is essential. This way, the client will receive the full benefit of the exercise and will not be at risk for injury.
Josh specializes in flexibility, speed/agility/quickness, power, and strength training for all sports. His true passion, however, is for the game of golf and studying the golf swing. Sport specific training for golf improvement is Josh's specialty and he enjoys the challenge of finding fun and simple ways to help each person take strokes off of their game.
Dave is the founder of GreenFit Health & Fitness. He has a passion for fitness and also enjoys a wide range of sports.
He has been a Certified Personal Trainer through Can-Fit-Pro since 2001 and is also a graduate of Wilfrid Laurier University with a Bachelors of Business Administration. He has his Bachelors of Education from the University of Western Ontario.
Dave loves to help people reach their personal fitness goals and then push them to strive even further than they thought was possible. He would enjoy helping you do the same.

Josh
Andrea graduated from York University with her BFA in Dance in 2002. Afterwards, she started a fitness company called Stretch-Fit with a goal to improve health & wellness in the workplace through office stretch classes.
Realizing the value of health and fitness in everyday living, Andrea became a Certified Personal Trainer in the Spring of 2008 and launched Personal-Fit.
Andrea's personal mission statement is "To train, motivate and educate people on the basic principles of fitness, while working out and having fun!" For more information on training with Andrea, visit www.stretchfit.ca.
Tricia grew up in Waterloo and has always enjoyed playing many competitive sports. At the University of Waterloo, she played on the varsity women's basketball team and completed her undergrad in Science.
Upon graduating, Tricia joined Canada's largest fitness chain, Goodlife Fitness Clubs, where she worked as a personal trainer for 6 years.

One-on-One Training
We will carefully analyzie your personal goals, exercise history and fitness assessments before designing an exercise program that is safe, effective and specifically tailored to your individual needs.
Posture, form and technique are a crucial part of your exercise program. One-on-One Personal Training is your best opportunity to master these elements of fitness and get the personalized attention often required to meet specific health and fitness goals.

Small Group Training
For some people training with a partner or in a small group is a fun way to get in shape. We offer training packages that will accommodate just about any size of group that is looking to get in shape together.
Who could you get fit with? Friends, co-workers, family members, or neighbors can all make excellent training partners. Even if you are at different fitness levels or have somewhat different fitness goals we can still tailor a program that is flexible enough to meet these demands.
Fitness Classes
Want to have fun and really work up a sweat? Fitness classes might be the way to go! Our fitness classes incorporate elements of flexiblity, strengthening, balance, and cardio training all in one intense workout. Plus, we keep our class sizes small to ensure you still get the appropriate attention required to provide a safe workout that generates great results.
